Bio
Ally Bolour is an immigration attorney located in Los Angeles, California. He obtained a Bachelor of Science from California State University in 1984 and a Master of Business in 1990. In 1994, he completed an academic program in international and comparative law at the Cornell-Paris Summer Institute in Paris. He graduated with honors from the Southwestern University School of Law in California, obtaining his Juris Doctor degree in 1996. Since then, he has been helping immigrants obtain citizenship and residency statuses in the United States. After volunteering as an intern at the LA Public Council, an organization that offers pro bono legal services to families, students, veterans, immigrants, nonprofits, and small businesses, he became a law clerk at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen and Loewy, P.C. before adopting a position as partner at Escandari, Bolour & Jansezian. He founded Bolour / Carl Immigration Group, APC in 1996, offering his exceptional services to help immigrants obtain Green Cards, apply for various types of visas, and seek asylum.
Attorney Bolour is well-known and well-respected throughout the legal community for his knowledge of US immigration law and his commitment to his clients, including those in the LGBT community. He has acted as a board member of Outright International, formerly known as the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC), and has provided pro bono services to many LGBT organizations, including the AIDS Project Los Angeles, Equality California, the HIV & AIDS Legal Services Alliance, and the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center. He speaks fluent English and Persian and has been on the board of trustees for the American Immigration Council since 2010.
